Golfers take first at home tournament

The FLC men's golf team used team depth to pick up a victory yesterday in Big 8 Tournament #7 at Rancho Murieta as they won by 12 strokes over second-place Santa Rosa to take over sole possession of first place in the Big 8 standings.  With the Falcons' number one golfer, Mason Troike, having a rough day, the other players picked up the slack in his place.  "When your number five golfer turns in the low score of the day, that's the true definition of team," commented coach Barry Zarecky about Chris McKnight's one-under-par round of 71.  Number six Nick Fowler also helped out the team with his 76.

With the victory, the Falcons now lead the Big 8 North Division by two points over Santa Rosa with eight tournaments still remaining.
