Men's Golf Finish 3rd at Stanford Invitational

The FLC men's golf team opened the Big 8 Conference season at the Stanford Invitational Tournament on Monday.  The Falcons took third place with a team score of 396, just one stroke behind second-place Sierra.   The Falcons were led freshman Chad Vander Dussen's 76 and sophomore Greg French's 79.  However, with the other four Falcons shooting in the 80's, they were not going to catch eventual team champion Santa Rosa.

"Too many missed putts and penalty strokes," replied coach Barry Zarecky when asked what caused the inflated scores.  "We should never have four players in the 80's.  We need all six to shoot in the 70's to realistically have a chance."
