In Sunday's third-place game, the Bulldogs of the College of San Mateo broke open a close game in the second half and handled the Falcons by 24 points, 91-67. The teams were separated by just one point after 20 minutes, but the Bulldogs lit up the Falcons for 57 second-half points to win going away. The Falcons' Pierce Rexford recorded his fourth straight double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds, and Dane Johnson nearly matched him with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
The Falcons (3-5) next game will be on Saturday afternoon when they host Hartnell College (4-6) at 3:00 pm.
