Falcons tame Wolverines, 7-4

Falcons tame Wolverines, 7-4

With Thursday's game against Sierra rained out and re-scheduled for later in the season, the Folsom Lake baseball team had the luxury of two starters available for Friday's game in Rocklin.  With that in mind, Falcons's head coach Rich Gregory used both Skylar Wells and Gavin Ochoa in tandem to defeat Sierra, 7-4.  Wells started and earned his ninth win of the season, allowing just one earned run in five innings of work.  Leading 5-3, Ochoa took over for three innings and allowed just one earned run and left closer Cole Tremain with a 7-4 lead.  Tremain then pitched a perfect ninth for his seventh save of the season (Tremain also scored two runs earlier in the game from his designated hitter position).  Offensively, the Falcons totalled 12 hits with the top three in the lineup - Jared Breedwell, Jeff Bauserand JT Waldon - all with two hits apiece.
