Falcons take series with 10-3 romp over Modesto

With a three-run first inning and seven runs over their final three innings, the Folsom Lake baseball team cruised to a 10-3 win over Modesto on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons took two of three from the Pirates to remain just one game behind Delta in the Big 8 title race.  Six different Falcon hitters had multi-hit games as the Falcons battered Pirate pitching for 18 total hits, including three each for first baseman JT Waldon and left fielder Cole Tremain.  Falcon starter Skylar Wells earned his eighth win of the season with five strong innings, striking out seven while allowing just one run.

The Falcons (23-6-1 overall, 11-4 Big 8) will face Sierra (18-12, 6-9) this week with games one and three at Sierra and Thursday's game at FLC at 1:00 pm.
