Falcons hold off LA Valley in series finale

In Saturday's series finale, starter Carter Delaney kept the Monarchs in check for six innings while the Falcons built an early 4-0 lead on the strength of Hayden Erickson and Jared Breedwell.  A bases-loaded double by Breedwell in the seventh inning - his 5^th RBI of the game - put the Falcons ahead 7-1. Despite some shaky late-game relief, the Falcons' pitching held on for a 7-5 win.

 The Falcons are now 4-2 and will travel to Cupertino on Tuesday to face De Anza.
