Falcons , Panthers tie 7-inning game

The FLC baseball team returned to 'the Lake' for their first home series in nearly a month as they hosted Sac City for a 7-inning game on Friday afternoon.  The Panthers struck first with a 2-run home run in the fourth inning, then took advantage of a Falcon error to tack on an unearned run later that inning.  In the bottom half of the fourth, the Falcons manufactured a run when sophomore 3b Trey Furrey walked, stole second, advanced to third on a groundout, and scored on Troy Shields' RBI single.  The Falcons tied the game in the sixth with two more manufactured runs by Austin Caveness and Furrey.  FLC's Jackson Torsey shut the Panthers down in the seventh – despite a leadoff walk that eventually got to third base – to preserve the 3-3 tie.
