Falcons use 6-run inning to take down Contra Costa

Traveling down I-80 on Thursday, the Falcons rode a six-run fifth inning to an 8-3 victory over Contra Costa College in San Pablo.  Two hit batters and four Falcon hits - including a two run homer by Troy Shields - led to six runs in the fifth inning uprising.  Falcon lefty Trevor Johnson pitched six innings and allowed just two runs to earn the win.  Skylar Wells threw the final three innings to notch the save.  Offensively, the Falcons' 3-4 hitters (Alex Schroeder and Troy Shields) drove five runs to pace the team.
