The Falcons had a rough day at Delta College in Stockton on Thursday as the pitching staff gave up 17 hits and walked 16 Mustang batters, leading to a 22-2 wipeout. The Mustangs wasted little time as they parlayed 5 walks, 6 stolen bases, and 4 hits - including a 2-run homer - into an 8-0 first-inning lead. Meanwhile the Falcon offense was nowhere to be found as they managed just four hits in the game. Falcon coach Rich Gregory used nine pitchers in the game, only three of which didn't allow any runs. With a day to practice on Friday, the Falcons (1-4 in Big 8, 13-5 overall) will look to salvage one game of the series against Delta (4-1, 17-2) on Saturday afternoon at Falcon Field.
