Falcon baseball winning streak now at seven

As cold as the weather was on Tuesday afternoon, the Falcon bats managed to stay hot as the FLC baseball team notched their seventh consecutive win, a 15-7 victory over Mendocino at Falcon Field.  First baseman Andrew Williams was the hottest of all, going 4-for-5 with a double and his first collegiate home run, a three-run shot in the third inning that gave the Falcons a 7-2 lead.  Shortstop Josh Winkler had three hits and three RBIs, and Michael Farley added his state-leading 8th double and 5th home run (2nd in California).  The Falcons have hit a state-leading 17 home runs thus far in 2018, five more than the next best team.  Starter Tyler Cochran earned his second win of the season with five solid innings as the Falcons improved to 11-1, a record only matched statewide by Big 8 rival Delta College.
