CRC takes series opener at Falcon Field

The Falcons hosted Los Rios sister college Cosumnes River on Tuesday afternoon in the the first of their three-game Spring Break series, but fell to the Hawks 6-3.  Falcon starter Grant Dragmire looked sharp early on, but was pulled in the sixth inning after giving up a 2-out walk with the game tied 2-2.  That walk turned into a run for the Hawks after FLC reliever Austin Beard gave up a double.  Beard's struggles continued in the seventh as he allowed three more hits without recording an out.  Meanwhile, the Falcons' bats were getting nowhere against CRC's pitching as they only managed six hits in the game.  

The two teams will meet again on Thursday at CRC before wrapping up the series on Friday afternoon at Field.
