Bats go silent in Falcons' 6-1 loss at Santa Rosa

Although they'd averaged better than six runs a game through the first half of the season, the FLC bats went silent on Thursday afternoon in Santa Rosa as they fell to the Bear Cubs, 6-1, in a Big 8 Conference game.  The Falcons managed just three hits off Santa Rosa, two days after racking up nine runs on 13 hits against this same club.  Falcon starter Brandon Bachman gave up a first inning two-run homer to the state leader in home runs, Ryder Kuhns (his 10th of the season), and that was all the scoring the Bear Cubs would need.  Catcher Mason Allen got the only RBI for the Falcons when his fourth inning ground out to third scored Josh Winkler with their only run.  The two teams will conclude their three-game series on Saturday at Falcon Field at 1:00 pm.
