Baseball Team Remains Tied For 3rd Despite Loss to Solano

Playing their third road game in four days, a weary Falcons baseball team took a beating on Friday afternoon, losing to Solano College 11-3 in Fairfield.  The Falcons took a brief 1-0 lead in the first inning when Grant Heisinger scored on an error following a single/walk/single sequence.  But the short-lived lead would be the only one of the game for the Falcons as Solano scored early and often with one in the first, three in the second, three more in the third, and four in the fourth.  Although they compiled 10 hits, the Falcons' offense struggled as nine of those hits were collected by three players – Noah Revis-French (triple, 2 singles), Grant Heisinger (also with a triple, 2 singles), and Mychal Lee (3 singles) One bright spot was the Falcons' bullpen, as four relievers (Matt Huddleston, Kendall Menard, Alex Perez, and Skylar Quam) combined to limit Solano to no runs and just 2 hits over the final 4+ innings.

The loss drops the Falcons' record to 19-12 overall, 11-8 and tied for 3rd place in the BVC (with Napa).  With just five games remaining in the regular season, each game grows in importance if the Falcons hope to make the postseason.
