The Falcons went into Spring Break facing a crucial 2-game series with the team they were tied with for 3rd place, Napa Valley. The Falcons took the opener on Saturday (March 28) 4-0, behind Ryan Pearman's seven innings of shutout ball. Left fielder Blake Rivera set the defensive tone in the second inning when he threw out a runner at home trying to score from second on a single to left. The Falcons scored all four of their runs in the fifth, highlighted by second baseman Mychal Lee's 2-run double. Grant Heisinger bunted a run home, and Tyler Kaim doubled home another run. The bullpen managed to shut down Napa over the final two innings despite allowing two hits and two walks.
