Falcons Baseball Rallies Late, Stuns Contra Costa

The Comeback Falcons have done it again.  Trailing 7-0 in the ninth inning at Contra Costa on Saturday afternoon, the Falcons rallied with seven runs in the ninth to tie the game before winning it in the 11th, 9-7.  The ninth inning rally started innocently enough with a leadoff walk to Michael Majeski.  Three walks, four singles, and two hit-batters later (not in that order), the Falcons had tied it up.  They still had the bases loaded with just one out, but were unable to push the lead run across with a strike out and a fly out.  But in the 11th, Noah Revis-French tripled home Tyler Kaim from first, then scored on a single by Austin Wailes to make it 9-7. That was all the Falcons would need, as Majeski put the Comets down in order in the bottom of the inning for the win.  Majeski pitched the final three innings without allowing a run, the only one of six Falcon pitchers to blank the Comets.  The Falcons improved to 15-9 overall while moving into sole possession of fourth place in the Bay Valley Conference with a 7-5 record.
