Falcons Baseball Knocks Off Mendocino

Maybe the FLC baseball team just needs a good long road trip.  With their 7-2 victory over Mendocino College yesterday in Ukiah, the Falcons improved their road record to 9-3, while at home they're just 4-6.  The Falcons provided starting pitcher Will Felton with a 5-run lead and Felton responded with 6 innings of quality pitching while allowing just one run.  The bullpen did their job as well, as Matt Huddleston, Craig Stafford, and Zach Reid all shut down the Eagles over the final three innings.  Offensively, the Falcons were paced by first-time starting left fielder Vincent Debove (three hits - 2 singles, double) and DH Nick Schumacher (2 hits, 2 RBI).  The win evens the Falcons' BVC record at 5-5 (tied for 4th).  Now if they can just figure out how to win at Falcon Field.
