Baseball Wins

A win is a win, even if it's ugly.  The Folsom Lake Falcons and Yuba 49ers combined for 15 errors Tuesday night in Marysville, but the Falcons managed to come away with a 13-6 win.  FLC's pitching staff allowed just one earned run, but shoddy fielding (9 errors!) contributed to Yuba's run production.  The 49ers actually led 3-0 before Folsom Lake put a six on the board in the fourth inning, highlighted by Mychal Lee's 2-run triple.  The Falcons added two more in the sixth on a wild pitch and an RBI single by Tyler Kaim.  In the seventh, Zach Rogers hit his second triple in as many games, then scored on Josh Criswell's RBI single.  Criswell eventually scored as well on an error by the Yuba shortstop to make it 10-3.  Both teams allowed three runs over the final three innings as the Falcons hung on for victory.  Falcons' starter Will Felton pitched five innings to earn the win and improve his record to 3-2.  The Falcons are now 4-3 in BVC play and 12-7 overall.
