Close Match Results in First Conference Loss for Falcons
Folsom – After going 5-5 in non-conference play, the Falcons dropped their Big-8 Conference opener against the visiting Sacramento City College Panthers, 3-2.
The Falcons lost the first set to the Panthers (25-20) and gave up a late-set lead in the second set which eventually lead to losing that set as well (26-24). The Falcons were then able to take the next two sets (20-25, 20-25), but it was the Panthers who took the deciding fifth set (15-12) to improve to 1-0 in the Big 8.
