Falcons sweep Diablo Valley

The Folsom Lake volleyball team made quick work of their Wednesday night match at Diablo Valley College with a straight-set victory over the Vikings, 25-9, 25-18, 25-14.  Despite playing with a shorthanded roster - two starters out sick, one injured - the Falcons still dominated in their third Big 8 match of the season.  Freshmen Abby Seabury and Mackenzie Natusch had 11 and 10 kills, respectively, while sophomore setter Kendall Hughes had a stellar night recording 25 assists along with 4 kills in 4 attempts and also added 7 digs and 3 service aces to her stat line.  Peyton Vasquez stepped in at defensive specialist and tallied 13 digs.

"This was a great team effort," noted head coach Molly Hanrahan.  "We had contributions from the entire squad on a night we were shorthanded."

The Falcons (now 7-5 overall, 2-1 in Big 8) will return to falcon Gym on Friday night to face Modesto (8-8 overall, 0-3 in Big 8) at 6:30 pm.
