The young FLC volleyball team hosted a deep and experienced Fresno City College team on Wednesday evening, with the Rams getting the better of the Falcons in three sets, 25-13, 25-13, 25-14. The Falcons had no answer for the Rams' deep lineup that featured a plethora of leapers that could seemingly sky over the net. Freshman Katy Kasparian was a welcome addition to the Falcon lineup – she'd been held out of previous matches due to Covid contact protocols – and led the Falcons with 6 kills and 6 digs. Freshman Mikayla Ide continued her solid play with 4 kills and 7 digs, and Taylar Schafer showed glimpses of her potential with 5 digs and 2 kills.
The Falcons will be off this weekend, then host De Anza College (of Cupertino) on Tuesday afternoon at Falcon Gym.
