Hoping to bounce back after their tough 5-set loss to American River on Wednesday, the Falcons traveled to Sierra College on Friday night but fell to the Wolverines, 26-24, 25-17, 25-23. Falcon sophomore Caitlin Dillon led all players with 13 kills, but Sierra spread the ball around and outscored the Falcons in total kills, 42-31. Falcon setter Kennedy Crawford also played well, tallying 27 assists and 14 digs.
The loss leaves the Falcons (now 14-5 overall, 6-4 in Big 8) in a virtual tie for fourth in the Big 8. They'll face co-leader Delta (16-5, 8-1 in Big 8) on Friday night, but can't look beyond Wednesday's match against Modesto (8-10 overall, 3-7 in Big 8) in Falcon Gym at 6:30 pm.
