The Big 8 Conference opener could not have gone much better for the Falcons as they defeated Cosumnes River in straight sets, 25-14, 25-18, 25-23 in Falcon Gym on Friday night. Deonna Robinson again got the Falcons rolling early with six straight service points to give the home team a 7-0 lead. With Kaitlin Bullock and Caitlin Dillon pounding kills and Valerie Hutton and Alicia Wilson blocking the Hawks' attacks, the Falcons were in control most of the night. Setter Kennedy Crawford was stellar as she tallied 21 assists to go with 7 digs. The win improved the Falcons' early season record to 5-0.
