Volleyball still unbeaten in Big 8 after 3-1 win over Santa Rosa

Despite losing the first set of the match, the Falcons managed to regroup as they pulled away to defeat Santa Rosa in four sets on Friday night at Falcon Gym, 22-25, 25-16, 25-23, and 25-14.  The Falcons came out a bit flat after pulling off the big victory over Sierra earlier in the week, and the result was the first loss of a set in Big 8 Conference play.  After the wakeup call, sophomores Kylie Haverson and Analyse Stapleton took control of the match with Haverson recording 17 kills and 17 digs while Stapleton was a force at the net with 10 kills and 3 blocks.  Kate Nicknig continued to impress as she tallied 11 kills.  The Falcons, now 6-0 in Big 8 play, will face the only other undefeated team, Delta College, in a showdown for first place on Wednesday night at Falcon Gym.
