The Falcons continued their recent run of success with another exciting five-set victory over a ranked opponent as they defeated Delta College on Friday night in Stockton. After easily winning the first set 25 -13, the Falcons dropped the next two sets by identical 22-25 scores. But the Falcons responded with a 25-19 win in the fourth set and came home with a victory after winning the final set 15-11. Kylie Haverson's 14 kills led the Falcons, while Isabel Mason provided 18 assists. The win was FLC's second in a row against a ranked opponent – Delta entered the match ranked number 7 in NorCal – and fourth in a row overall. The Falcons improved to 8-5 in Big 8 play (17-7 overall) and moved into fourth place with just three matches remaining. They will play at Cosumnes River (0-13, 5-18 overall) on Wednesday night at 6:30 pm before Friday's showdown against third-place American River in Falcon Gymnasium.
