Please, nobody tell the FLC women's volleyball team that first-year collegiate athletic teams aren't supposed to win 75% of their games. But that's exactly what the Falcons have done after last night's straight set sweep of Delta College in the Falcon Gym as they improved to 12-4 in their inaugural season. The Falcons wasted no time as they broke open the first two sets, winning 25-18, 25-17, and 27-25. Delta's only previous conference loss was to Big 8 leader Sierra in five sets. The win lifted the Falcons into a tie for third place in the Big 8 standings at 3-2 and was the first for the Falcons against a ranked opponent (Delta is ranked #8 in NorCal, #19 in the state). The Falcons hope to keep the momentum going on Friday as they host Cosumnes River at 6:30 pm in Falcon Gym.
