W Tennis defeats Sierra, strengthens hold on second place

The Falcons took care of business on Tuesday afternoon as they soundly defeated Sierra, 7-2, in a Big 8 Conference match at the Falcon Tennis Complex.  The Falcons jumped out to a 2-1 lead with victories at #1 and #3 doubles, then quickly clinched the match with straight-set singles victories by Nataleigh Boyle, Regan Blomquist, Anjelica Frank, Abriana Rowe, and Erin Cline.  With the victory, the Falcons improved to 6-3 overall, but more importantly  are now 3-1 in Big 8 Conference play, thus solidifying their second place position in the standings.  Their Friday match against Diablo Valley may be moved indoors to Spare Time Racquet Club in Gold River due to the forecasted rain.
