Falcons Battle Hawks to a 1-1 Draw

Livermore, CA – The Falcons tied Las Positas College 1-1 in the second road game of the season for the Women's Soccer team.

The Hawks were the first to score in Wednesday night's non-conference matchup. The goal came off a Las Positas cross in the 35th minute that caught the Falcons in a moment of disorder.

The Falcons kept the Hawks defense busy all game, creating many scoring opportunities, but were unable to find the back of the net until the 60th minute when Alexia Chavez made a penetrating pass to Olivia Chimienti who finished with a hard shot on the ground to tie the game 1-1.

After tying the game, the falcons put together a flurry of attacks, but were unable to score again as the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

"Obviously, we were hoping to score one more and try to come out with a victory," said Head Coach, Donny Ribaudo "but it was a good experience on the road against a quality opponent, especially since we were able to get most of our players some minutes."
