Falcons can't recover from 0-3 hole, fall to Sierra

The Folsom Lake women's soccer team has been a Jekyl and Hyde bunch this season, and it was never more evident than on Tuesday night at Falcon Stadium.   The Falcons gave up three first-half goals to visiting Sierra, then came roaring back in the second half to score two of their own, only fall one goal short as they fell to the Wolverines, 3-2, for the second time this season.  Freshman forward Michaela Clark added to her impressive season total with two more goals, giving her 27 for year.  Unfortunately, it wasn't enough as the Wolverines got to the Falcons early, with three goals in the first 20 minutes.  While the loss doesn't affect the Big 8 standings - Sierra already had a firm hold on 2nd place, while the Falcons have secured 3rd - a win would have helped the Falcons in their quest for home-field playoff games.  The state playoff brackets will be announced on Tuesday, November 19.
