Women's soccer records 2nd straight shutout

A barrage of goals by Big 8 scoring leader Michaela Clark and a smothering Falcon defense were the key components of a 6-0 Folsom Lake victory over Sacramento City on Thursday night at Sac City.  Clark scored her first of four (not a typo!) goals in the third minute, then added two more before the first half ended.  Sandwiched in between was a goal by sophomore Emily Doty (her 10th  of the season) as the Falcons rolled to a 4-0 lead at halftime.  Clark notched her fourth goal of the contest immediately after the break, and Sarah Freed made it 6-0 with her 12th goal of the season in the 67th minute.  The defense shut down the Panthers' attack, logging their second consecutive shutout and seventh of the season.

Michaela Clark now leads the Big 8 and is third in the state with 18 goals.

The Falcons (12-3-2 overall, 7-3-1 in Big 8) will host Modesto (7-9-1,  4-7 in Big 8) on Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm, then play at Diablo Valley (Pleasant Hill) on Friday afternoon.
