The young FLC women's soccer team put on a clinic on Friday afternoon as they blew away their former Bay Valley Conference rival Solano College, 11-0, in Fairfield. What started as a fairly competitive match - it was 3-0 at halftime – turned into a landslide victory for the visiting Falcons as freshman Sarah Freed and sophomore Alhan Bakideh both recorded hat tricks (each scoring three goals in one game). Freshman Corrine Christmann and sophomore Riley Spitzer each netted two goals as well, while freshman Sarah Scott added a single goal. Falcon goalkeepers Izzy Chinchay and Hunter Casperson combined for the shutout.
With the victory, the Falcons improved to 2-0-1 before starting into Big 8 Conference play on Tuesday (Sept 11) at American River.
