The FLC women's soccer team opened their Big 8 Conference schedule with a match at LRCCD sister college Cosumnes River Tuesday afternoon and came away with a nice 2-0 shutout victory. The Falcons scored two first-half goals, one by Keionna Claypoole and the other by Allie Miller, to seize control of the match. Sophomore midfielder Karina Torres provided the assist for both goals and now leads the entire state in that category with eight. Aubrey Hall earned another shutout at goalkeeper as the Hawks managed just two shots on goal. The Falcons improved their overall record to 6-0-0 and are 1-0 in the Big 8 Conference.
