Lady Falcons Dominate Marin

If the FLC soccer stadium had a scoreboard, it may well have burned out a few bulbs yesterday as the Falcon women routed College of Marin by two touchdowns, 13-0 (not a typo).  Two Falcons scored hat tricks (3 goals apiece) and two more netted two goals each as every player on the bench logged significant playing time.  Michelle Kimball not only recorded a hat trick, but dished out four assists as well.  Paty Navarro scored the other hat trick, while Sami Thomas and Jaqui Ortega both tallied two goals.  Danielle Otto, Chayney Mata, and goalkeeper Alison Darr all chipped in a goal as well.  "It was a great opportunity to rest a couple starters," noted coach Donny Ribaudo.  "I was able to give everybody significant minutes, and we had some goals and assists by players who don't normally get that chance."   The win was the Falcons' 10th in a row, all without allowing a goal.  With just three conference matches remaining, the Falcons have all but locked up the BVC title.  They will travel to San Francisco on Friday (1:30 pm) to take on CCSF in a non-conference rematch of last year's second round of the state playoffs.
