Falcons Soar into 3C2A Regional Tournament with Top Seed and Player Honors
The Falcons concluded their regular season on a high note, securing a thrilling victory against Sierra College to secure the 2nd spot in the Big 8 Conference. This triumph not only solidified their standing as the 4th seed in Northern California for the upcoming 3C2A Regional Tournament but also earned them a coveted first-round bye. One of the first-round matchups will feature a showdown between the colleges of Siskiyous and Reedley College, with the winner advancing to face the Falcons in Folsom on Saturday, March 2nd, at 7:00 pm.
In addition to their impressive tournament seeding, individual accolades were also announced. Corrie Harrison was honored as the Big 8 Conference Most Valuable Player, earning recognition on both the Big 8 Conference All-Conference team and the first team All-State. Alysa Lopez received All-Conference honors and was named to the 3rd team All-State. Lastly, Head Coach Ali Molet was deservedly selected as the Big 8 Conference Coach of the Year, adding another layer of accomplishment to the Falcons' successful season.
