Despite Slow Start, Falcons Dominate Second Half versus Vikings

Coming off Christmas break, the #18 Falcons had to dust off some rust and get back to their normal selves in the first half against Diablo Valley College. Defensively, the Falcons stayed strong as they have all season holding DVC to 16 points, but struggled to make some easy shots resulting in only 27 first-half points.

With a reminder at halftime of their offensive potential, the Falcons exploded for 24, 3rdquarter points, while holding the Vikings to 10. FLC ultimately sealed the deal and ran away with it, winning 72-44.

The interior game shined as Corrie Harrison led the charge with 17 points on 8-12 shooting, while grabbing 5 rebounds as well. Megan Williams finished with 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Daily Applegarth and Eva Graf led the Falcons in rebounding with 8 and 7 respectively.

#18 Folsom Lake College (11-4, 1-2 Big-8) plays Cosumnes River College (6-9, 0-3 Big-8) on Friday, 1/6 to start the new year at home at 7:30pm for game two of the men's and women's conference doubleheader.
