The Folsom Lake women's basketball is officially off to their best season start in program history after thrashing Monterey Peninsula, 62-37, on Saturday in Monterey to improve to 4-0. The Falcons led by just 3 points after the first quarter, but steadily wore down the Lobos and pulled away for the comfortable win. For the second straight game, Corrie Harrison came off the bench to lead all scorers with 12 points. Though no other Falcon scored in double figures, all 11 players scored at least 3 poits in the blowout. Freshman forward Ashleigh Briggs came off the bench to lead the team with 9 rebounds, while point guard Macie Purbaugh had another all-around game with 6 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists.
The Falcons will host the FLC Crossover Tournament starting on Friday when they'll play Cuesta (0-3) at 6:00 pm, then face Feather River (3-2) on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
