Blue Devils prove too much for Falcons

On Friday, the Falcons faced state #15 ranked Merced College and came away with one of their poorest performances of the season, losing 73-44.  The Blue Devils jumped on the Falcons early, pulling out to a 25-11 lead after one quarter.  The Falcons outscored the Devils 14-11 in the second quarter, but still trailed by 11 at halftime.  The Blue Devils put the game away in the third with a 20-7 run and were able to coast in from there.  Turnovers cost the Falcons as they tallied 32 to just 20 for the Devils.  Dejanet Porter and Shay Boley each scored 8 points as no Falcons reached double figures.
