Falcons take 3rd in CRC Tournament with win over MPC

A weary FLC women's basketball team used a strong second quarter to pull away from Monterey Peninsula on Saturday afternoon, garnering the third-place trophy in the CRC Tournament with a 58-44 victory.  The Falcons were definitely heavy-legged after losing an exhausting thriller in overtime to L.A. Trade Tech in Friday's semifinals, but found the energy to defeat the Lobos.  Valerie Hutton and Delaney Keddie led the Falcons in scoring with 15 and 14 points, respectively, while Keddie added 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists to her stat line.  The Falcons had trouble containing Tanisha Hill, who nearlysinglehandedly kept the Lobos in the game with 17 points and 20 rebounds.  But the Falcons used a team approach while spreading the scoring around as they cruised to their second win of the tournament.
