Utilizing a balanced scoring attack and a red-hot first half that saw them grab a 44-20 lead, the FLC women's basketball team coasted to victory on Tuesday night in Modesto, 82-46. After jumping in front 23-8 in the first quarter, the Falcons were never challenged as four players scored in double figures and two more were just a point away. Sophomore Alma Perez recorded a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds despite being used sparingly in the second half. Freshman Diana Subina had 13 points, while sophomore forwards Megan Macheel and Nicole Ayala each scored 10. The Falcons won by 36 despite resting leading scorer Shay Boley (inflamed knee from last Friday's game) for almost the entire game.
