Falcons fall to Big 8 co-leader Delta

Playing their second of three consecutive games against teams ranked in the top 10 in California, the FLC women's basketball team fell to Big 8 Conference co-leader Delta College on Tuesday night, 69-49.  In a game that was eerily similar to last week's loss to undefeated Diablo Valley, the Falcons gave the Mustangs all they could handle in the first half before gradually losing momentum and energy as the faster and taller visitors pulled away to victory.  Freshman guard Shay Boley showed no fear as she slashed her way to 20 points,  while freshman forward Maisey Bruno had a strong second half and scored 9 points.

The Falcons' opponent on Friday night – Sac City (13-5, 3-1) – will present similar challenges, but head coach Ali Mollet continues to push her team to get better.
