Falcons fall to Butte at CRC Tournament

After getting their first-game jitters behind them the night before, the Falcons were poised to grab their first win of 2018 on Friday evening at the CRC Tournament, but came up short against Butte College, 75-69.  The Falcon defense had tough time shutting down the Roadrunners, who scored 42 first-half points.  The second half saw some inprovement as the Falcons outscored Butte 36-33, but it wasn't enough to overcome the openeing half.  Freshman guard Shay Boley again led the Falcons with 26 points (8 of 17, 47%), while reserve guard Kylie Gioia added 10.  Sophomore Alma Perez had 9 points and led the team with 8 rebounds.

The Falcons now have two weeks to work out the bugs before they next play on November 29 in the Modesto Tournament.
