Falcons give CCSF a scare before losing 73-63

The Folsom Lake women's basketball team opened the Santa Rosa Tournament on Thursday afternoon with a competitive loss to highly-ranked City College of San Francisco, 73-63.  The #3 ranked Rams took a 20-point lead midway through the third quarter, only to see the Falcons battle back to within five points with just four minutes to play.  The comeback took its toll. however, as the Falcons seemed to run out of gas in the final minutes.  A balanced scoring attack for the Falcons was led by Faith Wilson with 15 points.  Alma Perez and Nicole Ayala both tallied 14 apiece, and Angelina Contreras added 12 points.  The Falcons will face Redwoods in Friday's second round game.
