Who needs defense? FLC, Canyons combine for 200 points!

The Falcons' second-round game in the Comet Classic Tournament was played against College of the Canyons on Friday afternoon at Contra Costa College, and neither team seemed interested in playing much defense as the Cougars pulled away for a 111-89 victory.  Most of the damage was done in the first half of play, when the Falcons fell behind by 20 points (57-37).   The Falcons scored 52 in the second half, but the deficit was too great to make up at that point.   Angelina Contreras led all Falcon scorers with 23, followed by Faith Wilson with 17, and Abby Malekos and Alma Perez added 15 points apiece.  Next on the schedule for the Falcons is the Santa Rosa Tournament, where they open against San Francisco on Thursday at 2:00 pm, then play a second-round game against either Sacramento City or Redwoods on Friday.
