Another win for women’s basketball team!

The Folsom Lake College women's basketball team earned their third win of their inaugural season on Wednesday night, defeating a very tough Los Medanos College squad in Pittsburg, 73-61.  With the Mustangs making a late comeback attempt in the fourth quarter,  Falcon guard Angelina Contreras hit three 3-pointers down the stretch to hold off the surging Mustangs.  Falcon guard Faith Wilson, with 24 points, became the third different player to lead the team in scoring in their three victories and was a perfect 14 of 14 from the free throw line, including 8 during the critical 4^th quarter.  "This was a total team effort," noted FLC head coach Glenn Mayol.  "We withstood a late push by a tough team, and that's not easy in their gym."   Contreras finished with 18 points – with six treys – while Alma Perez added 17.  The women will enjoy a break in games until after Thanksgiving, when resume play with a tournament at Contra Costa College.
