Falcons Dominate Pirates in Home Victory

Folsom – In an electrifying matchup, the Folsom Lake College Falcons showcased their prowess on the diamond with a commanding 7-0 victory over the Modesto Junior College Pirates.

From the outset, the Falcons asserted their dominance, led by stellar performances from Kamora Baptiste, Summer Lagomarsino, and Aila Lyden. Baptiste ignited the offense, crossing the plate twice and setting the tone for her team's relentless attack. Lagomarsino and Lyden combined for four RBIs, contributing significantly to the Falcons' offensive onslaught.

Defensively, the Falcons were equally impressive, holding the Pirates scoreless throughout the game. Pitchers Haylee Garrison and Aila Lyden stifled the Pirates' offense, allowing only two hits while striking out two batters. Their solid pitching combined with a strong defensive effort ensured the Pirates never gained momentum.

The Falcons' offensive outburst came primarily in the third and fourth innings, where they capitalized on opportunities to score. Marica Watson capitalized on an error, allowing Baptiste to score the game's first run. Lyden's RBI single and Araceli Jaimes' double extended the lead, putting the Falcons ahead 3-0 after three innings.

In the fourth inning, Lagomarsino's two-RBI single further widened the gap, solidifying the Falcons' lead. Jaimes added another RBI in the sixth inning, capping off an impressive offensive display.
