Softball Advances to the CCCAA Softball State Championship
Stockton, CA – After defeating the host, Delta College Mustangs, on Friday night, the falcons lost game two of the 3-game series to the Mustangs by a score of 4-1. In the deciding game, the Falcons scored early off a two-out single by Isabella Savala, making the score 1-0. In the 4th inning scores by Isabella Savala, Haylee Reginato, and Elizabeth Wylie made the score 4-0 in favor of the Falcons. A double by Donna Jo Dalton in the 7th inning brought in Mikaela Pamplona and Adriana Vasquez, making the score 6-0. In the Circle for the Falcons was Isabella Savala who pitched 5 1/3 innings, and Marissa Alders who finished the game for the final 1 2/3 innings and secured the 6-0 victory.
After advancing to the super-regional round for the first time in program history, the Falcons now advance to the CCCAA Softball State Championship round for the first time.
The CCCAA Softball State Championship tournament will take place in Walnut and Glendora, California from May 18th-May 23rd. Hosting this tournament are Mt. San Antonio College, and Citrus College.
