Pitching Duel Ends Loss for the Falcons After 12 Innings

Folsom, CA – With the Falcons (14-21, 8-12) down to their last out and needing a run to tie the game, freshmen Araceli Jaimes hit a two-out double to bring in Sydnee Verlin and tie the game at 1-1 against the first-place, Sierra College Wolverines (36-1, 21-0). The game would go into the 12^th inning before either team scored again. This time it was the Wolverines who scored 4 runs in the top of the 12th inning and won the game by a final score of 5-1. Despite the loss, Isabella Savala put on a great performance by pitching 11 innings while not allowing any earned run and striking out 4 batters.
