Falcons close softball season with loss to Sierra
The Falcons closed the books on the 2018 season with a 7-0 loss to Big 8 champion Sierra College on Tuesday afternoon at Falcon Diamond. Falcons' pitcher Lauren Orris, playing in her final collegiate game, pitched well against the hard-hitting Wolverines but was victimized by some unlucky bounces and close plays. The Falcons were unlucky batting as well, as several hard hit balls were turned into outs by the Sierra fielders. While there's no doubt who the better team was, the game was far more competitive than the final score would indicate. The Falcons finished the season at 10-29 overall and 4-20 in Big 8 play.
