Softball team loses at home
With a combination of bye dates and rainy weather messing with their schedule, the Folsom Lake softball team finally took the field for the first time in 10 days as they played host to Cosumnes River College on Tuesday afternoon at Falcon Diamond. Perhaps it was the layoff, or maybe the perfect spring-like conditions lulled the team to sleep, but the Falcons appeared listless in their 8-0 loss to the Hawks. CRC jumped in front early with three runs in the first inning and never looked back. The Falcons, now 0-3 in Big 8 play, managed just two hits and never threatened the surprising Hawks, who improved to 3-2. The Falcons will play a make-up doubleheader at Modesto (0-4) on Thursday afternoon with a chance to right the ship.
