Falcons swept at American River

The FLC softball team fell twice to the Beavers on Saturday afternoon at ARC, 12-3 (in five innings) and 6-4. The Falcons actually took a 1-0 lead in the opener, then couldn't stop the Beavers as they scored 12 unanswered runs in the first four innings.  The Falcon offense was quiet except for McKenna Rickles and Brieana Maddux, who had two hits each.

In the second game, the Falcons jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, but again couldn't hold off the Beavers, who took a 5-3 lead after two innings. Both teams scored single runs late in the game as the Beavers held on to win, 6-4.  McKenna Rickles had her second multi-hit game of the day, while Mac Robertson and Kelsey Liddell also chipped in with two hits apiece.
