The Falcons had a rough weekend, losing both games of a doubleheader to College of the Redwoods on Friday (9-0, 5-2), then doing the same against Shasta on Saturday. On Friday, the Falcons staged a nice comeback in game 2 against Redwoods as they had the potential tying run at the plate in the bottom of the seventh, but could not capitalize. Abbie Strickland, who had two hits in the game, singled to lead off the inning, then promptly stole second. Rachel Richard followed with a double to the gap that scored Strickland, then scored when Gabby Segura reached on a throwing error. Gabby advanced to third when Bree Martinez walked, bringing up Anna Ydiarte representing the tying run. But Anna flied out to right to end the game and the Falcons' hope for their first win.
